在我的家乡衡水市，有一处旅游胜地，名叫衡水湖。那里一年四季景色迷人。

当春姐姐迈着轻盈的步伐走来，沉睡了一个冬天的衡水湖慢慢地苏醒了，湖面上嬉戏的冰弟弟悄悄地跑了。湖边的泥土又湿又软，要是踩上去准会陷下去。岸边的的柳树长出来嫩绿的叶子。一阵微风吹过来，柳条姑娘就翩翩起舞，随风舞动。在慵懒的草丛中，你会惊喜的发现，几棵小草妹妹也伸了伸懒腰，苏醒了。在空中有几只水鸟，它们飞来飞去很忙碌，像是在建造小窝。湖中有几条小船，安安静静的停在那里一动也不动。

夏天，衡水湖更加迷人。一条小船，两支木浆，我们出发了。远远的就能闻到一股淡淡的清香，我们来到了荷花岛。一层层的荷叶碧绿碧绿的，像是一个个碧绿的大圆盘。最让人喜爱的当然是那满湖的荷花，荷花形态各异：有的才展开两三片花瓣，像一个半遮半掩的小姑娘；有的花瓣全展开了，露出了嫩绿的小莲蓬；有的还是花骨朵儿，看起来饱胀得马上要开花似的。

秋风婆婆到了，她拿来一把大扇子，使劲一扇，把花草扇得金黄金黄的，把衡水湖装扮的美丽无比。

冬爷爷带着冰弟弟走来冬爷爷对冰弟弟说：”弟弟，我要工作了，你去湖里吧！”冰弟弟听话的到水里去玩了。冬爷爷用笛子吹了一曲非常好听的歌，千万片雪花纷纷落下，把大地妈妈打扮的银光闪闪。冰弟弟玩得非常高兴，湖面上的冰越来越厚，越来越厚……

ragon boat festival,often known as tuen ng festival or duan wu festival,is a traditional chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the chinese is also known as the double fifth.[citation needed] it has since been celebrated,in various ways,in other parts of east asia as well,most notably korea.

the exact origins of duan wu are unclear,but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the chinese poet qu yuan of the warring states committed uicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the chu local people,knowing him to be a good man,decided to throw food into the river to feed the fishes to prevent them from eating qus also sat on dragon boats,and tried to scare the fishes away by the thundering sound of drums aboard the boat and the fierce looking dragon-head in the front of the boat.

in the early years of the chinese republic,duan wu was also celebrated as ^v^poets day^v^,due to qu yuans status as chinas first poet of personal renown.

today,people eat zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fishes) and race dragon boats in memory of qus dramatic death.
