先看一道Section4的单选题

What is the main topic of this lecture?

A. why people use monosodium glutamate

B. the way monosodium glutamate works

C. where monosodium glutamate is used

?：这些题会出现干扰项?

?：答案是肯定的。

?：为什么?

?：因为题干里有强调性词汇。

什么是强调性词汇?

比如main，best，most，first等，特指一堆东西其中之一的词汇!

当题干里出现了这些词的时候，录音肯定会不止念到一个topic，录音会七七八八说一些确实会讲到、但不主要的信息，来混淆视听，从而增大题目难度。

所以呢，答题一定要主动抓取录音中与main对应的信息，等到出现这类强调性词汇了再作答，靠前出现的多半不是答案。

原文如下：

In today's lecture, I'm going to talk about Monosodium Glutamate, or MSG,as it's more commonly known.

Now, MSG as you probably know, is a flavour enhancer which is usedparticularly in Chinese and Japanese cooking.

Today I am going to explore why it is so popular in these cuisines and,more importantly, how does it enhance the flavour of food?

当听到 today I’m going to explore 的时候就知道 topic出现了，但是能不能直接选why?

不能!

因为还没有出现题目问的main，那就继续等待...突然moreimportantly出现了，how..........选它!B选项就选出来啦~~你答对了吗?

再来看一道简答题：

What was the best part of being an exchange student?

题目问最好的方面，说明录音会提到一些作为交换生挺棒的方面，但不是最棒的，那么出题套路就出来了呀——

干扰信息不一定会被完全否定，但一定会因为不是最好而被排除。跟上题一模一样!

原文如下：

Being an exchange student in Denmark was fantastic, a really greatexperience.

There were so many amazing parts, so it’s hard to narrow it down to justone.

I met a lot of great people, travelled to lots of places in Denmark andaround Europe, learned a new language, studied in a different educationsystem.

Umm ... I guess if I had to say one thing, it’d be living differently.

在录音原文中，大家可以清楚地看到干扰项是如何被呈现出来的——met a lot of people, travelled to lots ofplaces, learned a language, studied in a different educationsystem。这时候当然不能动笔啦~因为一直没有强调出现。

直到“如果非要我说一件(最喜欢的事情)的话，那就是living differently”出现，我们才能确认与题目问的问题是直接相关的。
